The Punjab Bike Scheme 2024: Promoting Sustainable Transportation for Students
The government of Punjab has launched the Punjab Bike Scheme for the students in Punjab with subsidy of Rs. 1 billion by Government of the Punjab. The Punjab Bike Scheme is a interest free program for the Electric bikes loan.
In this scheme the layout of structure the bikes given to students are as follow:
19,000 petrol bikes, 11676 bikes for male students and 7324 bike for female students.
1,000 electric bikes, 700 e-bikes to male students and 300 e-bikes to female students.
Punjab bike scheme eligibility criteria
Students across the Punjab should be eligible for Punjab bike scheme application if they
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Must be a regular student of a Degree College / University, duly recognized by HEC.
- Must hold a valid motorcycle Learner’s Permit / Driving License.
How to apply for bike scheme?
Eligible students can apply for bike scheme online through Punjab government web portal. no application by hand or in any office will be accepted. here is link where students can apply Punjab web portal.
